You can update your Aadhaar details with the Citi Bank instantly in three methods and these are –

1. How to update your Aadhaar on Citibank website online?

Step 1: Login to Citibank Online

Step 2: Click on ‘Update Aadhaar’ on the left panel, under ‘Cards’ tab

Step 3: Enter Your Aadhaar number

Step 4: Enter One Time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile and click submit.

2. How to update your Aadhaar via SMS?

You can update your Aadhaar by simply sending an SMS from your registered mobile number to 9880752484.

Format to send: Send AADHAAR <space> followed by your 12 digit Aadhaar Number <space> and followed by last 4 digits of your credit or debt card.

3. How to update your Aadhaar in Citibank branch?

Customers will have to visit the Citi bank branch with Aadhaar card. They will be asked to fill Aadhaar link form with copy of Aadhaar. Once verification is done, customers will receive a confirmation on their mobile number or email within 2-3 working days.

    Please clarify where is it stated in the rules that Aadhaar card has to be provided for “credit card” (which is not an account based relationship)?

      As per my knowledge, I found that all banks forcing customers to link their Aadhaar to Bank Accounts and credit cards. Below Rule is quoted for the same.
      “As per the Prevention of Money Laundering Second Amendment Rules issued dated June 1, 2017, it is mandatory to update your Aadhaar number across all financial products, including bank accounts, credit cards and personal loans.”.
