Steps to open Jan Suraksha Schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana using your HDFC Internet Banking.

It is a good news for the customers of HDFC netbanking, that they can avail the option of opening Jan Suraksha Schemes – Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) in below simple steps.

 

Step 1 – Visit your HDFCs Internet Banking Login Page

Step 2 – Once you successfully logged in, look for the tab “Insurance”

Step 3 – Select the “Social Security Schemes – Jan Suraksha” Scheme from the left side bar

Step 4 – Select the Name of the Scheme from the list i.e Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and fill the details in the given online application form

Step 5 – Enter the Nominee details or Replicate Savings Accounts Nominee

Step 6 – Read the Terms and conditions and also other documents like “declaration of Good Health”, “Policy Document” etc before you hit the Submit Button.

 

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana key highlights

Overview: The scheme offers one year cover and it can be renewable year by year, offering Rs. 2 Lakh life insurance cover for death for any reason.

Eligibility: Indian Citizen aged between 18 to 50 can avail this insurance and also he/she must have a bank account. The premium will be auto-debited directly from the subscriber’s bank account.

Premium: Rs 330 per annum will be autodebited in one installment, this scheme is offered by various insurance companies like LIC, HDFC Ergo Insurance etc.

 

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana key highlights

Overview: The scheme offers one year cover and it can be renewable year by year, offering Rs. 2 Lakh for “accidental death and full disability” and Rs. 1 Lakh for “partial disability”.

Eligibility: Indian Citizen aged between 18 to 70 can avail this insurance and also he/she should have a bank account. The premium will be auto-debited directly from the subscriber’s bank account.

Premium: Rs 12 per annum will be deducted from the savings bank account through ‘auto debit’ facility in one installment on or before 1st June of each year.
